Been there, done that, got the tee shirt. OLEDB provides superset functionality to the ODBC driver; you should be able to substitute the OLEDB driver for the older ODBC driver, kick the tires, fire up the engine and off you go. It provides the full set of ODBC functionality, a lot cleaner and faster, as well as supporting things like ADO.
