Where are these objects residing? On a Client form (ASP PAGE) and a 2nd tier on an internet server?
The volume of data that you are looking at was not intended for XML in todays environment. Sorry but 5000 transactions as wide as you were interested in will blaot. Maybe ADO instead? It has to be faster.
