There are no built-in tools in Visual FoxPro 5. Here are some of your alternatives:

  • Forget about encryption.
  • Use a database server that has these capabilities. In this case, VFP would be only the front-end (the client, i.e., user, side).
  • Use third-party tools. Perhaps you can get some at www.hallogram.com.
  • Switch to VFP 7 and do something yourself with database events. This would probably require lots of programming, though.
