>Thanks for reply, now the problem is bigger. This code is in transaction so I can't do requery. it looks the only solution now is to to open underlying table and pick up the values. However I tought that I can avoid using tables and work just with the view. Any other idea?

Look at the CURVAL() and OLDVAL() commands. VFP also comes with a _datachecker class which will check for changes made to a table by other users.
