Personnaly i prefer when the list reset to "more:".
This way i can select something (ie: book), close the windows and select the same item again (re-book). Otherwise i have to select something else (not-book) before reselecting my first choice (re-book) because the list event fire only on change.

Select-reselect-deselect... i hope i was clear!
