Go to the Fox History website and you'll see that our resistance is what stopped a certain wing in Microsoft to skin the fox. Besides, nobody is too sure that they will take the world with dot net - many countries have opted for Linux, so while it may look like Microsoft is betting the farm on a single card, I think they would still like to have more aces up their sleeve, and VFP is surely one of them.
>Difficulties in learning a new language is just a secondary factor to us programmers. It's the availability of time. In a developing countries like us, we don't have our own computers at home. We rely on computers in the office. And while in the office, we stick to project completions. Well, it's not the fault of MS, it's the fault of our economy. :)))))
Any debate on "who's economy is worse" may be pointless, but I know all the programmers back home (including myself while I was there) have found a way to have decent hardware. At some point I even borrowed customer's machine. Of course, it was never a server-class box, i.e. in 1995 I still had a 386SX (remember those)... but it worked. And in the last twelve years I was never without a modem. We may have been hungry at times... but never disconnected.
