After hours of showing the things we could do with VS and with all languages that it supports, some asked what about Fox. The speaker said that foxpro team had not adapted Visual Fox to the CLR (still), but microsoft would continue supporting The product.

Plinio,

First, at least the rep. got it right - that VFP will continue to be supported (as well as there being no CLR (.NET support) for VFP).

I know that it doesn't seem to fit, but if you read through the very long threat about 'SUMMIT Musings, Disclosure, etc' you will see heavy discussion on this concept.

Basically it summarizes as:
1) VFP still participates VERY well in the .NET and Web Services world and will for a long time;
2) IF VFP had a CLR 'version' there would be so much left out, especially the data accessing stuff, that it wouldn't have much real use.
3) In which case, and given that the syntax for VB.NET is close enough to VFP, learning VB.NET to use when useful is as good an alternative as having a VFP CLR option.
