I disagree with this one. I think the current system works as it should, members asking questions recognize the help received by giving points and in turn the UT administration recognizes members who answer them with three months PUTM.

This looks like it could work. I would let the helpful reply stand at two points while the originator gets 1.

I do not see the reason for doing this. I'd say it would be the same as removing the points system. It's been there for several months but it really hasn't catched on with the majority of the membership.

To me it would be more a question if there should be a system or not. If there is then it should reflect the essence of the community, members helping other members. If there is none that shouldn't change anything for most people.

I think for the most part the current system is designed to do just that, besides encouraging participation. If some members are expressing concerns or dismissing it I don't think it's the fault of the system, it's how is being used.
