>>VFP 6.0 didn't handle external COM references (either in or out of process servers) terribly well. VFP 7.0 is much better. You might have better luck with oNetDrives.Item(lni) rather than the Item collection.

>I'm not familiar with what you mean by "Item collection." Do you mean the "EnumNetworkDrives?" One last note is that if I Suspend the program when it errors and type "? oNetDrives.Item(lni)" in the Command Window the drive designation displays on the screen, but it won't work in the PRG. Strange!

Renoir,

The Item collection is basically the same thing as something like VFP's Forms collection.

About all I can recommend here is the usual stuff to try when anamoluous behavior occurs. Shut down VFP, get back in, CLEAR DEBUG, retry. If that doesn't work, re-boot etc.

BTW, I'm running SP5 with VFP 6.0 and Win2K Pro SP2 now.

If nothing seems to work, post back. Maybe my partnet in crime on the series, Ed, will note and may have something else.

PS - It may help to offer Ed a shrubbery. He's partial to them. (And yes, that is from "MP and the Holy Grail< bg >).
George
