No, Perry, hasn't crossed my 'radar' screen...
One of the facinating things about NYC that intrigue me is how they get their water. Apparently there are several
huge (20+ feet?)underground tunnels dug right into the bedrock (granite?) that provide water from (I believe) upstate. Every so often they shut one down and do some maintenance on them.
I saw a PBS show on them some years back and thought that they were pretty cool..
