We are currently using dynazip ( version both 3.0 and 4.004 ) called from within our application to perform a database back-up. Recently, the back-up file has been missing a .dbf. The .fpt makes the trip, but not the .dbf file ( we don't include .cdx we regenerate them on restoration ). I feel like it is because something has a lock on the file even though we close all tables and the dbc before calling the dynazip dll. So I wrote a small wrapper and did a back-up with out ever opening any tables or having any other application running on the machine and got the same results. I is a sporatic issue only happening to about 10% of our clients. We have the flag set to send back any errors and also have turned on the logging option but no clear evidence has been amassed. It happens on both Windows 98 and 2000 Pro. The exe was built in VFP 6.0. Anybody have any ideas how I might track and catch this villian???
