>It's pretty obvious at this point that I am completely lost. I'm going to try reading Markus' book this weekend and hope something clicks. You guys have tried to explain things to me, but I'm getting more and more confused. There's a limit to how much teaching I can expect from people on the UT and if I ask anymore questions, I think I will be past it. So I'll take your posts, take the book, and do some clue searching myself. :)

Michelle,

Don't hesitate to ask questions here. If I get tired of answering questions I just won't log in for a few days and get a rest.

I know exactly how confused you feel right now, but I can assure you that a part of that confusion is your subconcious mind's refusal to believe that OOP is really as obvious as it is.

My advice for this immediate problem, moving the dat around, is to stop using it as your learning vehicle. Get on it with and write the code knowing that OOP folks have said it is OK for the two objects to access the same cursor no matter how strange that may sound to you right now.

Move onto the next task and use that one to learn a little more. LLwt your learning happen slowly over time while you get the work done that way you know how. I can guarantee you that you will later look back at what you have done and realize it was much more OOPy than you think it is today.
