Hmm.. even you place your database in server's shared folder, it is not a client/server base instead it is file sharing.
What error do you get from VFP?
Does the folder set as FULL ACCESS?
Since it is VFP native Database, you can try to SET PATH TO \\server\mysharedfolder and use OPEN DATABASE or USE to access data.
