There's a thing called home()+"tools\hexedit\hexedit.app", run it and open these files with it. Being a dinosaur, I've seen many strange extensions, and got quite used to look into strange files (like *.dbf :) using hex viewers. You often discover that such strange files are actually text files masked as dragons.
