I found the information (same as what you had posted in the previous msg) at MSDN, but no mention of an updated SHLOBJ.H or any reference to BIF_NONEWFOLDERBUTTON anywhere on the site. I think I'll just live with the "New Folder" button appearing, but if you happen to run across the value of that flag, please post it.

I sincerely appreciate your help... The enhanced GETDIR() function (using the shell object in VFP) is fantastic.
