There is no way to pass an argument to a report. I would suggest that you pair your report with a PRG. Let the PRG receive the parameter and run the SELECT for you and then call the report. This would give you a design for reports that will be very flexible over time. Every FRX has a PRG of the same name that sets everything up and then calls the FRX.
