Mark,
>What this proposal consists of is a slight modification of how the monthly rewards are awarded. Currently the top 5 members in the points standings get 3 months free PUTM. The first part of the proposal is to revise how awarding of the PUTM is determined. There would be an establishment of a minimum number of points needed to qualify for a random drawing at the end of each month for the 3 months free PUTM. The proposal is, that to qualify for the raffle, a member needs at least 50 total points.

I don't think you can specify a threshhold on points for something like this. However, I think the drawing is a good suggestion. Put the top 5 or 10 points makers in the drawing. I think the minimum points scenario wouldn't work on slow months or months where bulls$%t reigns (this happens occasionally). If the top points makers only had 35 or 40 points, they should still be eligible, IMO.

>The second part of the proposal is to modify the points awarded. The points [10] for a solution would remain the same. However, the points for a helpful reply would be changed to 3 instead of 2 while the originator would only be awarded 1 point for each reply marked as either helpful or the solution. Currently, the originator gets 2 points for each reply marked as either helpful or the solution, while the provider of a helpful reply also gets 2 points. The provider of the solution gets 10 points.

One modification to this would be that originators wouldn't get points for every assignation they made. If they made at least one, they would get the 1 point.

>The third part of the proposal would remove the overall point standings from the main pages and only provide them from the Reports option from the messages area.

No opinion.

Thanks for the ideas.
