If you are using Microsoft Outlook with the Fax software installed, you can send faxes by using an email address formatted [FAX:{number}] - e.g.

[FAX:0044 1828650 656].

You can then use MAPI just like you would for normal emails (calling the resolve address function will ensure that the email goes to the fax). You can share the fax server too.
