What would your reaction have been, if Ed had complained about your unprofessional comment. Would you have apologised or would you have attacked him further ?

Jess was complaining about the use of bad language, which offended him. Ed's response was to attack Jess's professional ability, that sort of behaviour I find totally unacceptable.
