Sometimes it seems that there is very little acceptance of people who have different opinions to a small core of UT members. This small group have a set of beliefs that they profess as right & it is somewhat of a sin to disagree with that orthodoxy.

The private message that I quoted was in response to my views on this 12 months ago. Very little has changed, but the person concerned did give me the confidence to stay with UT, for which I am grateful.

We cannot agree on all things, at all times. We should have the freedom to discuss, sometimes heatedly, our different viewpoints, but I do not believe that we have the right to attack someones professional ability, just because they have a different viewpoint to ourselves.
