Thank you very much for your reply.
I absolutely agree with you in all points!
I am staying in long queue (about 1,5 years) for applying Canadian's visa and my lower can say nothing good for me.
Canadian people who I know, said for me that will be easy to apply this visa if I had job offer. But nobody wants to give it without landing immigration status.-)
I was in the business trip (work practice in the US) and computer's people were little bit astonished when I said them that I use FoxPro language. They said "But FoxPro is a very complicated language!" I was astonished too -).
Anyway, thank you very much for fresh information.
>Hi Sergey,
>as I was saying in a previous post - getting the visa is a big part of the challenge. The government don't make it easy because AFAIK you cannot legally take a job in Canada before you get "landed immigrant" status.
>This means that we have lots of people who arrive with no job and spend many frustrating months/years looking for a good job.
>Unless I could prove that there were no FoxPro programmers already in Canada I wouldn't be able to offer anyone support in immigrating.
>I think it would be much better to say that, if you have a job offer and you pass all other acceptability criteria, you should be allowed to come - but that would make too much sense for the politicians to buy into!
