Would there be an advantage to saving these functions as stored procedures in the database before upsizing ?

I thought when code was placed in VFP stored procedures that it wouldnt automatically get upsized to SQL Server? Meaning if John is going to take the time to manually move his code into stored procedures in VFP, wont he have also manually recreate the same stored procedures in SQL Server after the upsized wizard has done its thing?
