Thank you for your comments and it does highlight my ignorance of VFP

I need to mention that this is not a Web app', but a CD-ROM tool. I wish it were a web app, it would be very much easier to build, to the design I've been given (limited functionality, but very pretty).

I take your point about the controls not being on the web browser, however the logic behind my approach is:
1. It makes building the interface very much quicker (The main screen displays an image, icons that describe the image and text data about the image. There is no data input).
2. I can apply CSS to the whole page (form).
3. I can transfer the whole app' to the Web with only minor changes at a later date.

As you may have worked out my issues are not with 'standard' VFP, but with design problems like coloured scrollbars (one for record navigation and one on a text box [iFrame]) and variable formating for the text (within the same memo field). VFP does not provide a scrollbar as an independant object or class and I have been unable to effect the colour of the activeX scrollbars placed onto the form.

However, the question still remains - Is it possible to return values from the Javascript variables back into VFP?

Cheers.
