Smoking pot is _not_ illegal, at least in this state. Possesion is. In the act of smoking it, you possess it and are a criminal. Once smoked, you are fine. Just don't drive. The DWAI/DUI laws don't distinguish about how your intoxication came about.

I don't know your generation, but at 51, I think mine used to think authority was benevolent. Until we matured and learned better.
