I uninstalled and reinstalled the SOAP SP 2. Now I get past the
x.ConnectorProperty("UseProxy") = .t.
line, but
? x.justshow()
gives "OLE error code 0x800a13be: Unknown COM status code"

When I installed SOAP SP 2, I did a complete install. There are no other options available on the installation. Is there a way to test if SOAP is installed correctly?
