I have also been getting this error (VFP6.0 SP5 and SQL Server 2000 SP1) but I'm positive it only began happening since I upgraded to SQL 2000.

I seem to remember reading something in SP5.0 readme that not VFP 6.0 is not 100% compatible with SQL 2000. Can anyone confirm this?
