We are having problems with VSS. Sometimes when someone unprotects an element from the VFP project manager (a form, a class, whatever) the operation does not complete (one of the involved files remains protected). Sometimes this happens when someone tries to perform a protection operation. It used to happen once in a while until this week, I wonder if anyone knows why has this event increased. Actually we are solving the problem manipulating the involved file's hidden attribute accordingly, but it has happened once that we got a message much like "Cannot find file \\server_name\vss\data\aaaaxxx" and this one really worried me because after I ran the Analyze utility twice (for fixing and checking the VSS database) the problem persisted so I had to delete the element on VSS and register again (obviously I lost its history).

Some other users are complining about the slowness of accesses to the VSS server.
