Mike,

>>Well (he says scratching his head <g>) the last time I read the definition of the word "Stop" it meant stop. <g>
>
>Yes, and the Speed Limit is always 30mph obeyed by all. Gimme a break.

<g>

Jusy remember to say that when you get pulled over.. <g>

>
>>>Police officers who protect and serve agree with me.
>>Uh huh.. Those same officers would most likely give you a ticket for an incomplete stop in many cases...
>
>Nope, like I said, the ones that are there to protect and serve don't bother with that crap. Its the jerks on power trips that do.

Perhaps. Perhaps you're doing 35 in a 25 mile an hour zone and you inadvertantly hit a six year old child and kill him because you weren't looking and you go up over the curb. You may think you're a smart guy but you are in fact a real arrogant SOB. Why? Well, that's how we lost our son Mike. Some punk kid who thought he was above the law just like you. You may think that that cop is a jerk but maybe he wa son the way home after having to deal with someone like me who had to watch his only child die in frony of his house because some kid did what he did. Maybe that cop who just pulled you over is sick and tired of people like you who think they are better than everyone else and hold themselves above the law....

You have a lot to learn I think...

I'm not just saying these things because I have nothing else to do.. <g>

>
>>Well, understand that your personal views are contrary to established law in most cases. THis is, in effect, holding yourself above the law, right?
>
>The law is unfair. I'm glad Rosa Parks stayed in her seat,

Tell that to the dead kid... You are mixing apples and oranges here and it doesn't wash.

>
>>Perhaps... If true that's kind os a sad commentary don't you think?
>
>Yes, very.
>
>>Well, what do you know of in life that is always 100% as you suggest? I'd bet not much. We live in a fallen world and, while sad, it is the case. However, IMO that doesn't remove from us the obligation to do our best I'd think.
>
>Huh? You just kindof go into something else at this point, ignoring my claim that the law is inconsistant and unfair.

Not really.. What I'm doing is acknowledging the difference between the ideal and reality. I'm attempting to explain that while we live in a world of failed expectations we shouldn't abandon all of those expectations. The natural end of your position is to siomply do away with all laws and let everyone do what is right in their own eyes.

Ergo: Anarchy.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist you know... <g>

>
>>Don't know if that makes any sense to you. Probably not..
>
>It doesn't.
>
>>Only a perfect God can perfectly meet the needs of faith.
>
>Does that help you sleep at night?

Oh yes!! I sleep like a baby.

>
>>As far as not seeing the power of god to respond to faith; sure you've seen the evidence. Just look at the genetic makeup of a blade of grass (the lawn type < BG >).
>
>What does the genetic makeup of a blade of grass prove? That you don't know anything about genetic makeup of a blade of grass? Thats religion, you know. Simple answers to complex questions.

*chuckle*

Take a look at www.marshill.org or www.ldolpin.org.

>
>>Well, actually, the Bible says that in Christ "all things are lawful". The last time I looked at the Greek for the word "all" it meant "all". <g> There is total freedom for the Christian but the difference now is that there are many things I have perfect freedom to do butthat I do not want to do.
>
>The ten commandments sound like laws too me. How are there laws against actions while all things are lawful?

Jesus was asked what the greatest of the commandments was. He replied that to love the LORD your God with all of your heart, mind, soul and body was the greatest and all (emphasis mine) of the Law and Prophets were contained therein. The second was to love one's fellow man as one loved one's self.

Do these two and you've 'got it.'

>
>>As I've mentioned before I do not want 'religion', I want a personal relationship.
>
>... with something you cannot prove exists. Religion.

Not to those who cannot hear I suppose..

Anger blinds the heart...
