You can use the email format [FAX:number] - WITH the square brackets - as the address and resolve() it, using the normal MAPI commands (in fact you can use any of Messaging's supported protocols this way - [PROTOCOL:ADDDRESS], email is usually sent as [SMTP:address] you just don't see it).
