I had a similar problem some years ago with an earlier version of VfP. I had a working app. displaying bmp's, but after installing furter s/w (I think it ws MS Office), the display stopped working & displayed an icon & filename. I got the image working again by reinstalling all image display/editing apps, including MS Paint.
