Is there a PaperLength property or is it called PaperSize. I'm using a windows driver for a receipt printer, so I think some properties aren't showing up and I may need to add them.

>Sounds like you need to calculate the length of the report before you run the report. Create a copy of the report files [FRX and FRT], open the file [USE RECEIPT_REPORT.FRX], then change the PaperLength property in the Expr field of the first record. Close the table. Then run that copy of the report. Then delete the copies.

>>All I put in the foot is summary information such as sub total, tax and grand total. I'm not setting the length of the receipt as it is dynamic based on the number of items on it. If I print the summary as an extension of the detail it works fine, the receipt length is dynamic and all is fine. But when I add it on the footer, it seems to have a hard coded length and wants to print the footer at the bottom of the receipt (report).

>>>I suppose you have it set to 6' to prevent VFP from sending page breaks during the print of the detail?

>>>What are you putting in the footer? Perhaps you could put that information in a group band, or, if the program only prints one receipt at a time, put it in the summary band.

>>>We are trying to start moving our receipts for our Point of Sale system from @ Say statements to reports for image purposes. I keep having a problem with the length of the receipt. The header prints fine, the detail prints fine, but the footer prints at the end of the receipt, which is about 6 feet long. I've tried to change paper selection on page setup, but nothing seems to be working. If someone else has been through this, any help would be appreciated.
