>>This may not be the best spot for this, but here goes. I have a custom app, needs to call Crystal Reports. Users will NOT have Crystal installed, therefore I need to install the runtime files for them to be able to run the reports, this much I know. The hurdle is what files need to be installed, and what is the best/easiest method to do so. Are there any restrictions on what type of workstation can call the report? The reports will be in Crystal 8.5. Thanks.

>Take a look at the help file "license.hlp" under \Program Files\Seagate Software\Crystal Reports\Developer Files\Help for instructions on how to distribute the runtime files to your end users.
The Files I have found that need to be in there are as follows:
These go into the system (system32 for NT/2000) and are not registered.
Implode.dll && Optional. Only if printing/viewing pre 8.0 reports
Crpaig80.dll
Msvcp60.dll
mfc42.dll
crpe32.dll
msvcrt.dll
p2sodbc.dll
These go into the system (system32 for NT/2000) and are registered.
craxdrt.dll
crviewer.dll
And this one goes into program files\Seagate Software\common
C:\Program Files\Seagate Software\Shared\sscsdk80.dll
These are the files for Crystal Reports 8.5. Refer to the help for your version if your using anything else.
