Ah, a regular 'jack of all gauges'! (I can't take credit for that, I think I saw it in an old Model Railroader) I am pretty much stuck on HO, although I did have a N scale layout a number of years ago (right before the nice Kato and Atlas locmotives came out - poor running of the common equipment then available turned me off to it). I recently bought a house which has a decent basement, so I soon hope to begin building my model part of the old Reading Railroad, a branch of which is still a highly active Norfolk Southern line and runs only a couple blocks away.
I guess it's time to dig out my old FPD 2.6 programs I wrote several years ago for the railroad club I then belonged to, one for inventory and one I was building to generate switch lists.

Combined with my family, flamenco guitar work, photography and weight lifting, I keep busy. :) In Germany, they have a number of large layouts, one of which is over 30,000 square feet. That may fit into Bill Gates house! :)
