I don't know Mike. Like I said before I am a VFP programmer. In FoxPro, we have a function called RLOCK() that we can check to see if the record is locked. I don't know how it is done in VB. If you figure it out, post the solution. I am working in VB.NET right now and if I come across it, I will tell you what I find out. Good Luck!
