Is there a particular reason you want to use VIM instead of OLE automation? When I downloaded the VIM libraries last year to play with them, the examples hadn't been updated since VB 3. Since I couldn't even open them (VB 6 wouldn't touch them), I abandoned the idea.

With Lotus/Domino v5.X, you can fairly easily create and send messages using the object model described in the Domino Designer Help file. You can alos do a search for Lotus on messages by me and get some more examples.
