Thats what it sounds like. Is your app using API declarations? Is the app running some Win Inet functions on a client that does not have IE installed?

Most likely, some legacy DLL was tagged read-only by attrib, and farkeled the instance.

I'm curious about server-side VFP exes. Do the clients need any setup at all? Do you simply "install" the app on the server and then "shortcut" the clients to it?
