The action diagrams use the funny characters from DOS days, which were used to draw rectangles. These characters can't be found in most of the Windows fonts - but you may ba lucky with a font based on a DOS character set - Foxfont, or anything that has OEM for a script.

If you want to use " -|+++", the FoxDoc (or whatever is it called now) source is in the xsource.zip somewhere on VFP installation disk, and you can try to fix whatever error was there, and simply recompile, or find those funny characters there and replace them with " -|+++". You'd still need a non-proportional font to have it look right.
