The security is whatever you choose to implement; they provide a DNS redirection service, which your connection with dynamic IP will update each time its IP address changes; others, when attempting to resolve the DNS address, will receive the current mapping from their DNS server to point to your dynamic IP connection.
I use it with VPN using IPK, and it's strong enough that I trust it for connecting between me out of the office and my preferred workstation at home; I use a strong VPN because I tend to be lazier than I should be about the Windows login ID and password on my internal domain. I'm using SonicWall's SOHO/10 and their IPK VPN software to access into either Remote Desktop or WTS, depending on my needs and what I remembered to run when I left the house.
