I did try that a while ago & had success with it waking up screen savers, but it had an unintended effect. If the user was using another application when the alert happened, it would move the mouse pointer to the VFP app, which caused some confusion.
I think issuing the MOUSE command would work, but somehow I would have to only issue it if there's an active screen saver or a sleeping monitor. So, I wonder if there's a Windows API routine that might tell me the monitor's status?
