Thanks, I just reached the same conclusion with JCF's help - he tried it in VB and got a more helpful error message.

OTOH this folder doesn't exist in Win9x. (AFAIK there are no folders one can't access in Win9x). I wonder why Sergey and Nadya got the same error.
