I really appreciate your thoughts on my problem. I have found the problem and want to post this so that history will not repeat itself with others. Sometime we get on a narrow trac and can't look left or right for trying to look straight ahead. After suspecting everything from bugs to corrupt files, I stumbled onto the problem. Simple! You would have probably known exactly what was wrong if I had told you that in the init of the grid, I built a cursor and set that cursor to the RecordSource of the grid. Only problem is that I had set the field lengths in the cursor to 10.
