No animation, but a table of a couple hundred interesting / humorous / provoking quotes gives them something to read and ponder. I also use this technique while larger forms are loading.

I am interested in a copy of the table of quotations, if possible.

I read "The Experts Speak" a while ago, and found the quotations extremely interesting. The computer part is especially interesting, for instance, from IBM's president (?): "I estimate there is a world-wide market for about 5 computers.", or something to that effect.
