Hi folks

If I create a LOCAL view as SELECT field1, field2, 0000.000 as dummy then the structure of the dummy field is N(8,3) as I'd expect. However if I do the same as a REMOTE view to SQL Server 2k it shows up as 0.000 and consequently I'm getting numeric overflow errors.
I can get over this by selecting 9999.000 as dummy, but then I have to set these to 0 once I have requeried.

Does anyone know of a way around this ?

Thanks

Kal
