thanks for your reply, Paul Robinshaw sent me your demo code and it has given me some ideas, however!!, I notice, you still reference table fields directly in your forms, this is what I would like to get away from, I'm thinking along the lines of a ControlSource of: ThisForm.oDataManger.Employee.GetData('Name'), I'm probably getting ahead of myself but ?
