>George,
>Did I mention that this was copied from a posting on new2news? I don't actually understand in any detail this code. I hope this is the part that you are interested in (thanks):
Calvin,
Yes, you did mention it, however, yesterday I didn't have the opportunity to look at the code, and to-day, unfortunately the page can't be found.
I asked Ed to take a look, and I'd take what he had to say over my own advice anytime. Frankly, I know of no one more qualified in the Fox community in this area than Ed, and he's the guy that
I go to when I have a question.
If you'd like, email me the entire code. Unlike Ed, I'm not going to be terribly busy over the holidays (I'm off after tomorrow until Jan. 2), except for the usual pre-Christmas stuff I've got to do. While I have reserved a significant portion of my time for other pursuits (like drinking beer and watching football< bg >), I'll try to take a look and implement the changes that Ed recommends. Please be aware, however, that I'm not promising anything more than an attempt at a solution.
I say this principally because of two problems. First, while I have a dot matrix to test on at home, I don't have a Win 2K or XP box to test on. While I have a Win2K box here at the office, I don't have access to a dot matrix printer.
Your best bet may be to contact the original author, if known, of the code and advise him of the problem and what Ed had to say.
George
