>My company is starting to finally get some faster computers online. I've noticed some odd record/file access errors that we've never had before. The main error I see is File access denied which is funny because we open everthing shared. Is foxpro capable of handling these faster paced computers or is there some patch that I don't know about?

If you're using FPW (as opposed to FP DOS or VFP) there's an issue during application startup on machines operating at or above 333MHz; there's a patch available from Microsoft for FPW 2.6a (you'll need to apply the free upgrade from 2.6 to 2.6a to use it) available from the MS DOwnload site; there is also a convenient link to it, along with a different solution to the problem, available from www.abri.com

Neither FPDOS nor VFP have problems with faster processors; however, if you're moving to NT/Win2K or WInXP, access permissions may be an issue; not all users on a given machine have access to all folders on the local system.
