Yes, you're missing something extremely important; the files you're storing are not handled by an OLE Server; you simply want to store them in the table in a binary Memo field, and copy them out to disk as needed. There's no OLE server for the .FRT or .FRX file extension that's meaningful without the other part of the pair.
