There are significant difference between 3 and 5, and the p-code between the two is not interchangable (eg VFP5 can't run a procedure compiled in VFP3, but VFP6 can run code compiled under VFP5.) There are lots of subtle (and not-so-subtle) differences between 3 and 5.
