I really don't know a good way of determining how much Linux gets used. BEcause it can be downloaded, hacked, cracked, morphed, and every other thing, people may be using pieces and parts in places we can't even imagine. But the thrust of the original article (that Linux on the desktop is still very small) is something that I would have to ultimately agree with...
