There are many areas of philosophy but in particular the writings of Kant, Hegel, Schopenhauer and Nietzsche have specific interest to me. A part of Nietzsche’s “Oberman” theory comes to mind. “Laws are made by the weak to protect them from the strong”!

Well, I think that people
should think that their position is 'right' in cases like this. What's so wrong about that? Now, is that justification to mistreat someone? No way, Jose! Ehhrr.. Tom. <g>
I don't understand the notion that everyone has to or really ever will agree. I expect them not to actually. Does that mean I stop believing what I have determined is the 'right' belief? I hardly think so, otherwise ome could say that my belief was one of convenience. Hardly a position of integrity. <g>
Personally, I think that if someone isn't willing to take a stand then the odds are very good that they really don't have a core set of beliefs or that they've never really thought about them.
Best,
DD

Everything I don't understand must be easy!
The difficulty of any task is measured by the capacity of the agent performing the work.
